Vintage Christmas

A glimpse into Christmas in the 1930s in the UK makes me dreamy historically. Elegant ladies receiving gift carrying help, toys in the making and vintage city lights during a black out. Intriguing getting to know a little about Christmas before my time. Click here for more pictures and details.

  1. Thomas Haggerty says:

I don’t know how we would manage in such a world. Technology has changed us. Some for the good and most definitely some for the bad. I think people had fewer but much closer friends back then!

  2. Shame there weren’t pictures of the other side. Normal families in the war celebrating Christmas. Sadly there isn’t much charm in the London shops this year. It’s all gaudy and ostentatious.
