Some time ago, Danyelle Ferguson e-mailed me a copy of her book “Sweet Confections” for review purposes (read more in the book blurb section). “Sweet Confections” is a straightforward and easy read, flows naturally. Rachel Marconi, the main character takes us on a romantic journey of twists and turns. Torn between her past and future, she is keeping herself busy in her “Sweet Confections” bakery. A few recipes were included in the copy I received, I baked the peanut butter chocolate chunk cookies to understand Rachel better. Her everyday life. Enclosed an image below with the result, the desire to bake awakened while reading. Running a bakery seems hectic, Rachel had a great companion in her bakery partner Kristen. “Sweet Confections” is a wonderful summer read on the beach, in the park (don´t forget a basket filled with cookies) or at some cosy cafe. The unpredictable and unpolished nature of the book, makes it a perfect summer companion. Appropriate for teens and adults

Either way, Rachel is definitely going to need more chocolate – perhaps drizzled over ice cream and devil’s food cake.
